Got my bday off and figured it was time to take on a project or 3. The first one is I am going to do is smoke the lows on the M3 with some spare CF sheeting I have laying around.

If I like the smoked look I will most likely tint the highs (they never get used anyway) and if not I will redo the lows with silver plastic so they look normal but have just light coming out of the central eye like the E30s. The goal is to make the angel eyes visible when the lights are on.

I saw someone do this on them before and though it looked pretty good in pictures (he didnt use CF, just black plastic.

Ditto. I didn't know that Ryan had an ///M in his family. Do you ever get to drive it, Ryan?

I am the last person to drive it, feels like shit. That is why he wants me to hurry up and swap engines in my car. Then he knows I will turn my attention to the M3. He never drives it, he bought the dam 330 and it is the only thing driven. Ive also put 12 of the 14 thousand miles on the Chevelle since the restoration.


I just figured since i have no engine to swap into my car Id start working on something for his. He cant drive it now, his headlight is on my desk in peices.

somwhat. around the outside just like our elips. I only used CF because a friend has some gathering dust, in all honesty it was easier to cut than plastic.

Worked great. The hole looks offset because the camera is about a foot higher than the lenses but the effect was acheived. They are far enough back that they dont looks smoked, thye just only let light come out the eye. The light pattern is still pretty much unchanged.

If you look head on with the lights off you can see the weave. Like I said before I just used CF because a friend had some extra lying around and it was easier to cut than plastic.
