I Have A 1990 E30 Coupe And When I Turn The Steering Wheel, There Is Always A Screeching Sound, Both Turning To The Right And Left. In Addition, There Is Screeching Sound When I Brake As Well. Does Anyone Know What The Problem Is And How To Fix It?

check your power steering belt for wear and a good fit, and check to make sure that all the pulleys that the belt runs around are where theyre supposed to be and not turning off-axis: : 1984 318i : : PNW E30 Crew : : Sold!!

My power steering pump is off just a tad and it squeals. Im willing to bet thats your problem. Pop the hood and have someone cut the wheels while your listening to it. Check fluid level also, couldnt hurt.Originally posted by chuckybob

As far as squeeking when you brake, have you checked the pads? If they're okay some pads just squeak. It may go away.Comment
