well, the consensus is out whether he actually got it for free. (that said, i dont entirely disbelieve that. especially if it was in a collision.)

more plausible is he bought a roller for a few grand. we havent seen the front or the engine bay and it's definitely on 4 lug suspension.

Regardless of the money he'll have to put into it...he could sell it as is and make a hefty chunk off of it and it be purely profit. not really free you ask me to get that in average condition from what I see will cost you same as buying one in average condition probably more.best bet would be sell it for parts or to guy with deep pockets ,

^ This. To rebuild it from the current condition would be fairly expensive. That being said, only have seen exterior pix. And considering the visible rust, that's another expensive repair.

That explanation is far more plausible than :
1. Posting for a free m3 on Friday
2. Finding an owner whos moving and who can't take it with him within 4 days days
3. That owner happens to be oblivious to the fact that an M3 can be sold within hours for a few grand.

Not hating if its true its true, but I highly doubt it.

Anything free is awesome. I got a free cookie at subway and was stoked today. An E30 M3, even in the worst condition is still a hell of a thing to give away. Can't tell if it's salvageable from the pics but at the least there are some valuable parts on that thing.
