    Really cool valve technology!

Been talking about this with friends for awhile, really cool that someone is experimenting with it!

I hope gasoline engines with this technology will put up a fight to lame hybrids and we can continue to see gasoline engines around! People have been talking about us moving away from them.

There are so many benefits that come from this; less weight, less wear items in the engine, less prone to valve failure (I hope), more tuning, without having to do serious engine work, etc.

I figure seven years until we see something like this in cars a normal person can buy, discounting multi-air which is kind of a half assed version?

Just think, Theoretically you could have perfect timing and air/fuel throughout the entire power band. That can make some serious power and serious gas mileage. I've been waiting for this.

How much cooler would it have been if he used a e30?

                        Wonder what the downsides are?

Didn't ford prototype some sort of cam-less valve actuated a while back and scrap the project?

Cool, especially if they can make it feasible

A version of this has been used on F1 engines for years now. It is an awesome technology though.

Renault developed a cam-less valve system for their turbo V6 F1 motors back in the 80's.

This is not such a new technology, but good to see it applied to road going cars.
