I think is just the ''same as an M3" might as fucking well be an M3....with an Auto

probably too much for an auto, but these are getting harder to find in good shape.

if it has even a hint of rust, it is not worth that.

I wish that had been for sale when I was looking at my e36 for the same price. I'd say it looks like a good deal being it has a rebuilt cylinder head and a bunch of other new parts.

Easy to work on the whole engine and everything attached is very accesible.
He obviously has not tried switching a reverse light switch before -_-

Well, he had very few spelling errors considering the poor grammar. Besides the way it was written, I don't think that car is all that bad. As PAC said, any rust and its a bust. I'd offer 2500 and try to be firm at that.

You obviously need way more detailed pictures to even make it worth your gas to drive and see it.

                    ^^
                    Yes

The guy is obviously trying to shamelessly peddle the car, rather than sell it. A dignified seller wouldn't type an ad in that way (IE, trying to relate the car to the m3) and would sell it as is. Buyer doesn't believe the car is worth $3500 but is fishing for luck; probably expects $2500. Seller doesn't sound desperate, but getting there

Offer that and see where it goes from there. Any rust kills the deal and you'd best walk away unless you really want an IS and you're skilled in bodywork and/or rust is in non-trouble zones (Floorboards, front fenders, hood). Anything in the rear quarter panel/trunk area; you'd best just walk away at that price. You'd need better pictures first and foremost
