    Anyone ever trade merchandise?

    Got a chance to trade 2 of my CR7 16x9's for 2 16x7.5's from a
guy on the vortex to go staggered. He works for Tuning Zubehor Inc in California.
Is there any way to ensure that both us of hold up our end of the deal?

I'd say you either have use TRUST and agree to to both ship the same method & day, OR Find a member here you allready know in the Cali' area to ship yours to first then have them meet for an exchange.

Don't know about the trust thing but your other idea is pretty good, only
I will ask him if he knows anyone in NJ and we could trade up here,
my 9's are worth more money and he was going to pay for shipping.

Have you exchanged phone numbers? Have you called him at work? It helps ease my concerns when I have contact numbers that are traceable. There is also Escrow, though I am not exactly sure how you get hooked up with a company to do that and there would be some fee involved for their services. I suppose a google search would turn one up for you. Good luck with it.

See if he will allow you to call him up while he is at work, using one of their known number. Tuning Z has been around for forever and its a legit company.

I am making a trade (seats) with Rob S. but he is a known member and I have other contacts/friends of his that can help me out if there is any issues (which I know there won't be). Trust is key.

I e-mailed him and asked him if he knew anyone in NJ to meet up with me,
I'll ask him tomorrow if I can call him at work. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

BTW, what do you guys think of me going with a staggered setup? I can run real tires if I do, 225's front and 245's rear, no spacers.

If it were me, I'd probably do it (is he throwing in cash or something?)

Although if you change your mind down the road, your really gonna kick yourself in the ass over this.

i think your wheels/tires are hot the way they are... however i think the 245's and 225's would also look good.

Well you know I'VE ALWAYS loved your wheels....BUT I do think the 9"ers are a bit much on the front. Going STAGGERED would be like puttin a nice plump cherry on top.

I had a pretty bad story about trading a bumper with "blunt".. ended up a bumper short and $20-30 (i forget) on shipping. I'd be weary IMHO.

Personally I would go 7.5" all around, but the rears with 245's would look better. Are his rims in as mint condition as yours?

I would also suspect that you will have some understeer. I know you have a lot of power, but even Jordan says his car understeers when its off throttle. With that wheel and tire setup right now though I suspect that handling isn't your #1 concern.
