if a company like startec had originally built them using quality materials and more subtlety, they would have a following. unfortunately, the reputation of these comes from depo, so they are looked upon as giving your car a dirty ass raping simply because that company produces cheap ricer crap that looks like it was just shit out of bigfoot's ass.

my mtech 2 came with a set of these. it was the first thing about the car that i changed other than fixing the broken oil pan. my poor car still wakes up screaming in the middle of the night because of this experience during its "deliverance" period. i have it signed up for therapy starting next week.

I've never seen it pulled off well. It's a 2000 and up design element, it just doesn't "fit" on the 80's cars.

That's ok in my book because the headlights are smoked and kind of blend in to the grills. Still wouldn't do it to my car, though.

Key element to those cars to make them look good is eyebrows. Those dint look so bad. Didn't E34life have angel eyes with eyebrows too.

Lol Agree and the first part... Sad trauma story about the 2nd part made me cry. But it could be cause you make it sound worse than it really is.

                      Eyebrows do help I guess...

There's a couple ways to do angel eyes.. I chose CCFL (Cold cathode fluorescent lighting) because Led's weren't as bright a few years ago. I see it as a great DRL (daytime running lights) substitute. You can choose thin or thicker and different color temps. Celis fiber optic style and probably more. Ive seen some similar CCFL angel eyes and I have to say my smoked housings with thin bulbs look more subtle. I mentioned in the photo that its still not the greatest depiction of them. But most people comment that photos don't do em justice, its something you have to see in person.

Either way Im not posting for the people who don't like them, Im posting for those who do, or are open to it. Because when I did them I was alone. I wouldn't have anything I have if I listened to everyone tell me not to do what they disliked. So I'm just trying to get info put up instead of 1 to 3 word comments that say the same thing in a clever way about how it is ricer or out of place.

That looks just about as good as the Vatozone LED strip "one size fits all headlights" retrofit kits...

Don't worry Chrispy, much love <3

Not my cup tea, they just don't look right on E30 cars... I've seen some really bad kits ..
I would rather install Euro headlights with city lights .
                            it's just a ETA !

Halos,,,, just aren't period correct. We know this. We don't try, well...most of us...to install period incorrect styling elements to our e30s; cause most of them look "wrong".

Even the decent halos...don't look right.

I like city lights instead. Passe in Europe, unheard of here.

                                Also period correct.
