So, this guy scammed me following a wanted ad I posted up wanting some US S52 cams (I still need some by the way!). I'm doing my best from London, but as I stupidly paid via a gift and as of this morning my bank there is nothing they can do, my only hope is speaking with his parents, who I have been unable to contact. I have messaged his GF on Facebook (all above board) however she has now blocked me. I have found out where his sister works and she isn't in work as yet - I tried about 30 mins ago - the money was sent to a paypal account in her name. I have managed to communicate with his Aunt this morning though who has confirmed she will have one of his parents contact me.

What would be useful, is if everyone who has been scammed can post up how much they have been scammed by this guy and I will happily pass on the info to his parents and the detective I have looking into this from Aberdeen PD.

So I've spoken to his sister, who didn't sound at all surprised when I explained what had happened and that I believe the same guy is responsible for scamming many other people.

I await the call from either of Kevin's parents now.

Don't forget to add that if shit doesn't get corrected law enforcement will get involved. People seem to move faster when they know the cops will be involved.

also, be careful with fake craigslist ads - i think law enforcement is starting to view those as cyberbullying or whatever. remember how the cops called corvalis within a few hours and told him to shut his little campaign down or face consequences?
