You could draw a parallel between the driving experience, but I think the comparison ends there. The electrical systems alone will make these cars a pain in the ass to keep up. Granted, there will be enthusiasts who take care of their cars, but I have a feeling the majority will end up in the junk yard by 2025Leave a comment:

No. Those were supposed to be the spiritual successor to the 02...Leave a comment:

So, the E30 was the high-water mark in BMW's history. They were able to homologate their entry level car and destroy the competition.
The difference between BMWs of yore is that the leadership at BMW all had engineering degrees...
The new cars are great, but are meant for the masses, not the enthusiast. Caveat Emptore.Leave a comment:

They will be another car, as in recycled, then reused to build another car.Leave a comment:

I don't think they will be around e36's are all junk now the only ones that are still popular and halfway taken care of are M3's
There is something about the e30 the power is mediocre the car is tossable but not particularly good handling stockLeave a comment:

My 2003 325it is now ten years old (65,000 miles) It's been a great car....
Someone wrote about going to the auction and buying the best E46, E39 etc..
If your going buy a rig at the auction your going to have to do some reconditioning.
I bet most those cars have been thru several hands , and weren't taken care of or thing fixed when needed. As for the future of current new Model F30 , E90, etc.. only time will tell. , lots of electronics in the new one... It would make you head spin.Leave a comment:

I'm not saying that these cars are all the same. I'm not even comparing them all with each other. I'm just saying that these cars are just known to have their OWN problems, and while each of them is different from the other l, they're all still in a way the same. One thing that I've noticed is the clusters and the window regulators on the late 1990's to the early 2000's always go out.Leave a comment:
