It all depends on what options you desire. I am personally searching for the double carb before 1974(year US put the ugly ass bumpers on). In 71 Bmw put the bigger m30 in and in 75 they came fuel injected.

Honestly it boils down to locating one.

A friend of mine has a 71 Bavaria, he was lucky and found it in really great condition. I think its so sweet it runs great he drives it all the time and you can't beat a carbed m30 haha so simple and reliable.

Well, I wouldn't be able to afford the one I was looking at in the long run. Called the seller and he was surprisingly honest with me. Guess I should've know from the asking price.
