Hehe when I saw this thread I thought shark as in Porsche 928. I tried to buy a pretty nice E24 almost a year ago but the guy would never return my calls.

I tripped over an e24 at PullaPart here last year and raced home to the bfe24 forum to ask what was valued most. I then went back and spent 2 hours and about $400 getting what I could just to save it. I had my cash back in a week plus I think $100 for my trouble, then trade a box of goodies to George at Leatherique for his new e24 and got a dye kit for my barn find in return.

oh..and it turned out to be an L6 so if anyone needs a center console and matching leather visors... :)

Here in Miami I saw a rust free / good paint / good interior.. alpine / helrot(?) manual transmission 535i e28... mind you.. 80s BMW in good condition are pretty rare here.

By the time I got to it though the interior was shredded and rained out.. during rainy season and it sat in the yard for 2 months prior.

Are you planning to go back there? I need some parts...

    some info about that car:
    - it's a 630cs, not a 630i :)
    - that's a euro rear bumper, they had this style until '82. The whole setup is worth $300 to the right person.
    - the carb is a rare carryover from e9 coupes, but it is the worst possible air intake option for these cars
    - the transmission in that car should be a 4-speed
    - the two major e24 communities are bigcoupe.com and the bf.c e24 subforum
    - the seats are not worth tons, but the door cards and dash (if intact) have some value
    - the door/window seals are $$$$ if they're in good shape
    - the rear chrome tail-light bezels are worth some money if they're not rusty, and the lenses if they're not cracked

    nice find!

Ya it would be worth pulling off some off that stuff off and finding some guys who have sharks. The front euro bumper, all the interior pieces and possibly some other euro goodies would be profitable. Put it up on a forum (like Bf.c)= cash money

( I have zero knowledge of this transmission. I could be completely wrong.)
i think m20s and m30s have different patterns
