Sounds like an amazing time, I'm jealous. Keep us updated as often as you can so we can live vicariously through you.

        Day 1.

Got to Seattle Tacoma international airport at around noon, weaved our way through security and got the gate.

After the 10 hour flight we made it to Frankfurt. Oddly enough the plane just pulled into the tarmac and they had everyone board a bus to the terminal.

        Our A330-300 Airbus Lufthansa

After walking into the terminal we realized that our connecting flight to Nuremberg had been cancelled due to Lufthansa employee's striking. So after standing around waiting for luggage, and attempting to determine where to go we were able to obtain a train Voucher from Lufthansa.

We then headed down to the Frankfurt Airport train station

Cruising along the German countryside on an ICE Train

2 Hours later we made it to Nuremberg. We went outside awaiting pickup from Mike

After Mike picked us up it took around 45 min to head back to his place and look at the Touring.

Here she sits, No plates yet, working on that today, started right up, sounds great. Need to install a different headunit (project for today) but overall a very nice solid original car.

At this point we were rather exhaused but wanted to stay awake to acclimate to the new sleep schedule, so we headed over to Mikes shop to drool over his M3.

Today we need to register and insure the car, do some light work to it, and get ready for the roadtrip portion.

        More to come!

            Another quick update.

Due to snow *ugh* the Nurburgring won't open until next week.. soo the roadtrip portion gets a jumpstart a few days earlier and we will hit the ring on the route back!

That's one heck of a road trip! Still love Mike's M3. Touring looks great as well.

Good luck James, I'm probably going to be doing something similar in the future! My M40 touring was one of my favorite cars i've owned and want another!!!

You need to make this more epic and meet the car in Newport News, Va and drive cross country to Washington.
