Slow internet has slowed...get it... the progress of updating this thread as much as i need to.
We just made it into Italy and will be checking Ferrari tomorrow morning. I will post up more photos tonight, however, per my norm, here are a few teasers.

Note the background....

Fun on the Alps

Did you take the tour? It's pretty rad! You can also hike up the mountain and there is a sweet bridge that over looks the castles edit: looks like that last pic is from thereYour signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.Comment

Day 3 / 4
We started by heading away from the protective care of Mike and went down to Munich.
All loaded up and ready to go

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE, THE DACIA SANDERO IS FOR SALE IN THE GERMAN MARKET!

We got to Munich rather quickly...

Of course we had to drop by BMW while we were there.
In the BMW Welt Parking Garage

Inside BMW Welt, very nice BMW 1M Safety Car

New owners picking up Euro Delivery BMW's

The BMW Museum / Tower

Here are some items that caught my eye at the museum (too many to post everything)
BMW 328 MM

Turbo F1 anyone?

Steering wheel on the old BMW Sauber F1 car... FM Presets anyone?

S54's, LS1's, etc are cool and all, but how about a P84/5?

Alright, the F1 V10 was a bit out of reach, how about the P54B20? This engine actually seems somewhat simple to
replicate.

Perhaps the M13? IE M10 Turbo Engine?

I'd love to get a copy of this, the sales / design brochure for the 325i Touring E30

Being in the BMW collection of course this early model 1986 325i Cabrio was perfect in every way.

If I could trade my e30 Touring for ONE car it would be this one. Perfect in every way, 325iX

Perfect M50B25 NV

Flipping through the BMW design collection book I came across this photo. I would LOVE an original copy of this.
Back then BMW commisioned a few to build a touring out of an E30 Sedan, It was created in a garage outside of BMW
and was accepted as a production car. You can see the design did not have the hatch built yet.

Of course the E30 M3 Sport Evolution was still there

Interior of one of many BMW E30 M3 DTM Cars. Very clean, very simple

Front shot of said car

Back of said car

The always badass Bat Mobile

Interior of the Bat Mobile

Look at those rear tires!

The row of BMW ///M Engines, M88/3 to the S54B32 CSL Engine

Of course the Art Cars were out there as well

After we left it was time for a few glamour shots!

We may have snuck into the BMW Delivery Center outside parking lot...

View of the BMW 4 Cylinder Tower in the background

Photo from the OlympicPark parking lot

After that we drove to the border between Germany and Austria and grabbed a hotel.
The next day, pulling out of the hotel Garage.

Hopping onto the Autobahn

We then went Castle hunting, in this case at the base of King Ludwig II's fathers castle
My ugly mug in front of Neuschwanstein Castle

This castle was gigantic

and in front of Neuschwanstein Castle

After leaving the Castle we started heading up the Alps to get to Italy

The views were incredible

Entering the largest tunnel we have ever been through

Driving on the best mountain road I have ever driven in my life

Simply Amazing views, amazing roads

Including switchbacks....

Just awesome

Entering Italy

Castles were everywhere!

Very wet in Italy

Parked in the Garage at our hotel in Italy.

Tomorrow is Ferrari, and driving south to Portofino, and heading over to Monaco. More to come!

Even though the museum pictures are great, I bet it's nothing like the buzz of seeing all that great stuff in person.
This is awesome James, thanks for sharing.Comment

Subscribed. Man I miss Germany a lot. See pictures like this makes me home sick. Also that picture of your wagon in front of the castle in the hills reminds me that almost that same shot was in The Great Escape, just instead of an e30 it had James Garner in a plane.sigpic
