Before I get bashed I will say I searched....
Looking for a manual swap for my 89 325I. Been looking for a while, posted in the parts wanted section, etc. Does anyone have or know anyone in the CT, Mass area that may have a swap for sale??? Thank you

I would honestly stick to CL, and find a manual E30 that has been wrecked or T-belt snapped, pick up the whole car for a few hundred, swap, then part/scrap the car. It will be a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a full swap from R3V, and guaranteed to be complete.

Thats the best part about that. I bought 5 speed parts on here from someone(borgey). He told me "all you will need is a flywheel, clutch, and driveshaft" And here I an hundreds of dollars in misc parts later... Dude kinda ripped me off.. But thats a story for another day.. Anyways, just make sure you have ALL the parts before you start. Having an entire parts car would help a ton. Best Of luck with the swap!

You never know, people sell really nice cars for super cheap when they're broken. You may end up with a nicer vehicle, in which case your existing car can become the parts car.

I went in with a friend and bought a parts car for $300. We took the bits we wanted first and sold the rest of the easy to remove stuff for a tidy profit. I even got my moonroof + sunshade out of the deal. If you have the space and time/patience, buying a broken/wrecked parts car is rarely a losing proposition.

Or get the parts from a car in the junkyard yourself. If you pull it from a working car then you'll be able to document the disassembly process so you can get all the bits installed the right way the first time.
