    Edit.

    Additional input of bandwagoner motivation.

But the driver chip is giving me a few hickups. I suspect the the super efficient led's that's I'm under driving - they are not drawing *enough* current for the chip to be happy. Really odd - but that's the way it's acting. That's going to take a few more days to figure out.

It's OK in my book as long you update us with the progress and issues of the volt board. :)

Just my 2 cents from the peanut gallery,

Who else will attempt to create some new gadget for an old piece of euro crap?

Sure it sucks to lose a hundred clams...

But when you buy an E30 it probably shows a lack of rational thinking anyway.

It is not a Camry after all.

In which case it sounds like your intent is to scam the community, and I'd vote ban hammer immediately. Does anyone think GG's master plan was to sell tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff, and invest hundreds of hours into the products and community just to steal $1000? If so, that's a shitty plan. Prior to this GG could have scammed the community for a lot more than that :)

it's not the sum of money that should be taken into consideration here, more so the principle.
I wouldn't say $100 isn't a big deal, as that amount has everything to do with perspective. For example, it sounds like $100 is a big deal to GG right now. I really hope the guy gets back on his feet with a solid and consistent form of employment so that he can better serve the community. Hopefully those people that spent $100 of a car doohickey are not financially strapped because of it.

Ever heard of a group buy smartguy?
Most people doing them don't actually have the product they are selling, that's why they need a pledge of 10-20 people to get enough capital to provide the good/service

Mike; normally, your opinions usually line up with my own, but on this subject, I'm afraid I have to disagree with you.

I'm not trying to downplay what has happened, just trying to remind everyone of the fine print they agreed to follow when they sent that initial $100 payment. "It's nothing personal, it's just business"

You would have to hope that other people say that, not you. As GG did not. Put me down for 2 sets

There's a good fable that was in the Wall Street Journal a few years back, that I think is applicable here, about a farmer who sold a thousand raffle tickets to his fellow farmers, to win a donkey, for $1 each...

... after he had sold the thousand tickets, he announced a winner, and then contacted the winner to apologize that the donkey had suddenly died for some unknown reason, and refunded the winner his $1.

There was, of course, no donkey.

    Z0mg!!

How about making an investment, YOU pay ME 150$ so that I can purchase your product and then have it installed by a professional, then, when I have had them on the car for 12 months, without issues ,I pay you 55$ back?

And I can add a BMW emblem to that 55$!!!! (used)
