I have a rust issue as well rear panel where license plate lights go. Ideas on repair, both sides.
I dealt with the same thing a while ago. It is a tough area to work in and helps if you remove the trunk liner. I ground away everything I could, coated with rust converter and then built everything back up with fiberglass cloth, resin and chopped glass. Once it is cured you have to do some cutting and grinding to re-create the opening for the plate light assemblies and fasteners.
All this front fender talk seems irrelivant. The rust is on the rear quarter panel .
I'd say like $4-5 Hundo to get that patched up nice nice.
The point was that there are more resourceful ways to deal with rust than to just go a body shop with your checkbook. Depends on the car, your goals & your budget.

I agree with this. You can see the rear trailing arms in the picture. Price wise I also agree with but depending on the quality of work this price can go way up.

Any idea on my damage, I've sprayed it with rust inhibitor, should I sand it down and just paint as is or go all out, not worried about looks, just need to connect up license plate lights
