100,000k for a non-injury property damage only traffic incident. No wonder our legal system is fucked up...

Lawyers are people too, and what they say behind closed doors does not have to be in a professional manner.

I've had lawyers say some crazy stuff to me during consultations.

ninjaotter, you're being a reasonable guy about this. but do keep the online correspondance to a minimum, as much as r3v would love to eat this up, it could hurt your legal proceedings.

you want to avoid libel/slander AT ALL COSTS.

that said, you already have a cool head about this, so good luck to you, but don't get too litigation-happy. in my opinion, that's one of the more serious diseases this country has.

Good luck man, I hope his works out for you. I will say though, with a previous poster stating he works for Les Schwab it might be inadvisable to be posting all this before things are settled.

Or ask you what you want to upgrade your fixable car too.

Unless he is like 21 and has no clue what he is doing, I think you may have added your own little twist in his words lol
And 6 figures does sound a little weird.
He's a car guy, and we're friends outside of this little incident.

Me: "Theres an E30 M3 with an LS1 in it for sale for $30K, and a Nissan Skyline R32 GTR for $27K. Somewhere in that ballpark. Or I could get an Evo for $15K. I could find another regular E30 for $5000 or $10000 that would be sweet. Lots of good options."
Lawyer: "Fuck, is that all? You realize we're going to get 6 figures out of these guys right?"
    Me: "So a Skyline...and a house?"

local form dealing with same issues from LS. It's pretty common, and someone needs to deal with them.

Edit: six figures sounds a little excessive but if that's what it takes for these assclowns to realize that they need to accept responsibility for their actions and take care of their customers then so be it. Make these fucks pay.
I thought six figures was pretty outlandish, but from the stuff my lawyer sent me its pretty standard for this sort of thing. I'm not going to push for that, but if that's what it ends up being I'm not going to complain.
