Hood insulation: needed?

it's a late model thing I think. mine came with the 3 piece.

realoem shows both styles for 87is,88ix,and 92ic.i do have a spare fiber sheet type and thought about using both together on my 88.its a pretty clean engine bay except the eyesore torn up 3 piece foam.

My one piece started sagging, switched to three piece OEM foam. Can help on sound levels because I did an engine swap and went to fiberglass hood at the same time as the insulation switch. My engine noise is quite loud in the cabin as a result of the fiberglass hood regardless of 3 piece insulation.
