Coolest thing I've found was an e30 it looked like someone died in rolling it over. We don't get any good shit here.

Over the past 7 years I have run into some good stuff at the yards:

      E34 M5 kit x2

Euro E34 M5- whole car was for sale 106,000miles- bought it and drove it home

Several Euro e30s, bauers, coupes, 4 doors
      Euro goodies- valances, kits, grills
      ACS exhaust, supersprint, etc

Mtech 2 vert- white- took what ever was left

But the best one was this:

Friend of mine called me up and said that he spotted a old BMW with stripes and Spoke wheels with black centers, he didn't know what it was, thought it was a 7 series, non the less said it had Alpina sticker across both sides of the car- He told me it was at the Anaheim Pick Your Part. Showed up there at 7am the next day, and it turned out to be a 1980 blue Alpina B7 Turbo!!! someone already took the the motor, trans, and seats. The Staggered Alpina wheels where still on the car, extra Gas tank in the trunk, suspension, diff, and Rear euro bumper. I only had a screw driver and a lug Wrench! So the wheels, tank, and Alpina tag came home with me.

The Tag I ripped off the firewall on the pass side of the engine bay:

The car was the same color combo as the sample pic below:

holy fuck! that is beyond amazing. no way in hell i can top this.

pick a parts nickel and dime the shit out of you here. the price for parts are generally quite low, but then they charge you an environmental fee and almost every bullshit little part has a core charge. they know there is probably an 80% chance you aren't going to bring anything back to them.

I would have been trailering the whole shell out for use as something. Too cool to let die in a yard.
they won't sell an entire car once it gets processed in the yard. the title goes to title never never land never to be used again.

my finds: my son and i were wandering around in one of our local yards. i was talking on the phone at the time. my son came over to me and said that right over there is a jag with a nardi classic woodline steering wheel. it only cost 18 bucks.

early style alpina wheel with bad leather and missing the horn button. 18 bucks

several sets of bilsteins/lowering springs. ix auto transfer case in good shape for 65.00.

audi 4000 quatro manual in perfect shape with perfect interior. odo showed 115,000 miles. only the paint was faded as far as i could tell. who knows about the drivetrain but it looked really good and had certainly been taken care of. i didn't take anything off this car because i don't have audi's. i went back a month later and it was pretty much still complete.

a couple weeks ago, i posted photos here of a 1976 630cs euro that i saw in the pick a part. i didn't take anything off this car either but i regret not doing so.

over the last couple years, i have seen 4 or 5 porche 928's

You west coast guys are lucky. Here im close to 5 huge pick-n-pulls that i visit almost every weekend. The coolest e30 i ever found was one that wasnt totalled or stripped to the shell.

Back in the mid eighties I saw a BOSS 429 mustang in a yard in san diego. The front sheetmetal was missing but it was otherwise complete.I checked the drivers door for the KK sticker and it was there too.I stared at that car for a long time before I continued my hunt for fairmont parts.

At the U-Pull-It here, about 2-3 years ago, there was a Henna E21.

Seriously not a single ding to the entire body, not on one single panel. It was absolutely heartbreaking.

I never see anything. A good find for me is actually finding what i need. I did see a federalized euro mk1 rabbit once
I want a nice set of smoked MHW's (I know, get it line)

I once saw a 69 Dodge Super Bee at the ecology here years ago. I thought it was a regular Coronet at first since it was almost completely stripped, but the VIN plate was still on the dash. Nothing but an empty shell and 100% covered with rust, but still cool to actually find one in a junkyard. Saw an early seventies Roadrunner in the same yard once, too.

-Full interior and head off of a euro 323
                            -Nice 3 spoke e36 M3 steering wheel
-One of the old-school style inspection light resetting tools
-A functional glovebox flashlight......first time I've EVER seen one that actually worked, lol
