Not sure if you saw that 'note' on his site.

As far as I can tell I replaced them all but this page is not complete. I will try to fill it back in using the pictures (which I still have).
    Thanks! Dave

Yeah, I did see that. Its been like that about as long as I can remember.

I know what his peak numbers are, but I'd still like to see his graph.

David Lengths 3.0L stroker made 181rwhp and 189rwtq.

Yep, I remember seeing the dyno right where that note was.

Whatever happen to that guy and his e30 m3 project?

Give him a holler, he's on S14 and the bike scence now. He's still out there and personable.

He sold it for short money for what he had done to it. But it wasn't complete.

haha neato. Different kind of graph tho, shame. I was hoping to have something good to compare to my recent dyno, but thats less then ideal.

wow im really suprised it's that low, i know he put alot of $$ into his 3.0l... sucks to end up with that kinda result. Jordan isnt your 2.8 already really close to those numbers?

That was the bottleneck in Dave's engine. The shortblock was a quality build but the head set up was limiting its true potential. With the numbers that Jordan's 2.8L is producing, one wonders what Dave's 3.0L could have made using a similar approach.

And yes, Dave sold the M3. Last time we met up (about a year ago) he was really getting into motorcycles. He as two or three of them now.....one is a hot Aprilla racer which he uses exclusively on the track.

I think Daves AFM and lack of any optimised engine management is what killed his potential.

Out of curiousity Jordan, what were your reasons behind doing the 2.8L instead of the 3.0L-s50 crank build? Ive always wondered this.

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.
