How much have u guys spend on ur E30? [updated with pic]

I have went to a mechanic and he said a lot of leaking going on. So I am just trying to see if u guys will fix the problem or sell it. If I will fix it, I think I will do a swap for s50. What do u guys think?

Depends on all the other aspects of the car. A clean, straight, rust free car with a great interior and crack free dash ? i would say fix it.

If leaking is only one of many problems my answer might be different.

Post up some pics for more accurate replies.

        $18000 on my '89 325i
        $16800 on my '90 M3

there is nothing like a 100% refreshed M20b25, it all the power you need to have fun. it's not fast, it's pure fun and then you add on the sound it makes and you will smile forever.

~$6000, and probably another $6000 to go until I got it how I want it.

                  We need more information.

I'm in just over $4500 including cost of car, and I've owned it for a year and a half. I plan on cleaning her up over the next couple years and will probably put another $1000 into her in that time.

My car isn't anywhere near perfect, but she definitely is not too far gone. Full restoration will occur in her future.

im around 7-8k including the purchase of the car @ 2500 (6 yrs ago), 80k miles, a lotta inches closer to the ground, and an extra 80 ponies.

And don't regret a penny spent. When my car is "Done", it'll be a $15k e30. Dunno what you guys have done to your cars that are 20k deep, but god damn. You must be factoring in labor. Or bought ur e30's when they were new haha.

Nope, no labor. It's quite easy to go over 10-20k if you cover EVERYTHING...and some things more than once lol.

I could buy six decent E30's with 18k... and then crash five of them into houses and collect 20k in insurance.

I totalled my slips last year and thought of how I could own a clean e30 M3 with that money. I guess you just form a bond with what you build and endure with mistakes and broken bits along the way.
