I toyed with the idea of replacing my diving boards with some chrome, euro bumpers, but I live in downtown philadelphia where everyone backs into a spot waiting to feel the light nudge of the bumper behind them. I have a permanent spot in a garage but those diving boards provide me with a lot of protection when I'm parking on the street. Diving boards are the only way to go for the urban e30.

reminds me of when a hit a truck, we both get out look at bumpers, nothing wrong with either. "you good?" "yep", "you good?" "yep" then we just drive off lol. it just dented my license plate

They rule when you need something to stand on or protect your car! I've been backed into twice at work and rear ended buy some guy late to work, all to essentially no damage. The last time I was backed into, the extent of the damage was untucking half of my bumper.

I actually kept my old bumper/shocks, just in case I ever wanted to revert back to them while the car looks somewhat janky. I always envisioned myself acting like this if the euros ever got bumped into.

I love the protection diving boards offer, when u have friends like mine you can expect to play bumper cars on occasion and diving board cars are beefy. I have had a plastic bumper swap for my car for a while and just don't wanna do it and be pissed when they get hit and break.

Yeah, I've never quite gotten the hate that diving baords get from some people. I've never felt they detract much from the car, but that's just my opinion.

not only do they protect from minor bumps, but you can also set your beer on them while wrenching.

Or set your wrench on them while beering.

Love it. Only good thing about diving boards, though.
