Had a similar incident with my 330i last summer. I was ready to part it out, but decided to fix and keep it. Really not a big deal.

if you have full coverage, turn a claim into your insurance company. if they want to total it, then negotiate the best amount you can, buy it back and fix it. as long as you never give them the title, it will never be salvage.

OP, find a new grille, lights, and fender. even the hood and bumper look fine. depending on how anal retentive you are, it could be fixed for under $300.
