    What's it worth?

    Hey People!

Trying to get an idea of what my old car might be worth. Sold it to a friend about 5 yrs ago at 220K miles when I bought an e39 M5. At that time leak down and compression tests of m20 were perfect. He doesn't drive that hard and replaced the tranny with rebuilt(2nd gear synchro crunch) and a new clutch. Garage kept CA car for most of life, garage kept WA car for last 5. Small dent on drivers door at keyhole. Can be fixed prior to sale. Approx. 240k on car/od. gears gave out about a yr ago. I was third owner and did all mods and maint. Was like new when I originally purchased. I have nothing but BMW's for last 15 yrs and really miss this car!

          $5k.

But I am still living in a world where you could get $500 e30s and drive them home.

I agree. Somewhere in the $5-$6k range is ok I guess.

God I love cirrusblau. I'd say 5k is a good buy, 6k would be a good sell.

                      Ok.....

                      Alright!

Thank you for the input guys. I will most likely take posession of the car and zero it out for my buddy. May keep it if I can work it(garage is full) but if not it will be up for sale when work is done. I will be having the dent fixed at a quality shop, replacing the "is" front lip that used to be there, and anything else that needs attention. I had already done all the bushings in the car and front bearings so I don't expect to have to do much. If I keep her the motor will be going in my wifes 87 Glacier Blue 325iC and a S5x swap will be in order.

                      Thank You!
