no, whoosh is turbo, nitrous from what ive heard makes it sound like the engine is really hunkering down and belting out some nutso power.

I don't see it either. Although you can't see the tach in the 1-2 shift, it makes the same engine note as in the 2-3, which is clearly below 7000.
