E38 anyone

    I'm no m6x expert - still adsorbing all the info....And thinking of replacing my m30 with a m6o.

    But he's referring to Nikasil blocks. US gas had a high percentage of sulfur(?) in the pump gas - and it caused damage to the cylinder walls. Most all were replaced under warranty.

      If that is what he is referring to those would be mostly on e32's it looks like some e38's came with m60's but starting in 97 they got the alusil m62

        ya that would be correct, but dont assume most have been replace as when a friend was looking for one back in 2011 he came across the bad motors quite often.
        also there where other motor failures due to other issues but the reasons escape me at the moment.
        ill ask the friend who was looking for one back then but im sure youll google the answer before i reply.
        as far as post im more about quality NOT quantity.
