    Cheapest Shipping?

So I just shipped a small case diff via greyhound and it cost 130 bucks.. Are there cheaper places to go through? Any advice on shipping large heavy parts would be cool

Cost me $70 to ship a medium case from PA down to FL wih a FedEx account. All boxed up it was 94.4 lbs.

An LTL freight carrier might be cheaper, but that's a definite maybe. I'd probably build a small wooden enclosure and call them with dimensions/weight.

Even if a boxed-up diff is within the weight limits for the small package guys, there is no way I'd try shipping it with them.

I FedEx medium case diffs often. Usually $60-$90 for me without a special account. 94 lbs on average for me too. I've boxed them and made an internal wood crate or use that spray foam method posted on here.

last time I shipped a medium diff was about 4 years ago but it was $70 through fedex. I shipped it in a rubbermaid tub wrapped in duct tape.
