So I just shipped a small case diff via greyhound and it cost 130 bucks.. Are there cheaper places to go through? Any advice on shipping large heavy parts would be cool

An LTL freight carrier might be cheaper, but that's a definite maybe. I'd probably build a small wooden enclosure and call them with dimensions/weight.
Even if a boxed-up diff is within the weight limits for the small package guys, there is no way I'd try shipping it with them.Comment

last time I shipped a medium diff was about 4 years ago but it was $70 through fedex. I shipped it in a rubbermaid tub wrapped in duct tape.Comment
