SOLVED .. Help Broke down on freeway

Driving to work as usual on the freeway, when I hit a pretty large bump in the road w my driver side tire, all of a sudden I lose all power and Im now stuck on the side of the road. My check engine light came on. My first thought was oil pan but it's fine. It shook the car pretty goof but it wasn't the worse hit my cars suspension has taken. Can the SRS/airbag system disable my engine? It turns over like normal, it just won't start. I'm stuck here late for work. Any ideas???

Maybe the main relay, backed itself out from the jolt?

    Just guessing dude, GL.

Also note, I dont have an airbag wheel so I dont know if it went off. I checked the fuses and they appear fine but I do have extra relays, when I give it gas while cranking I get no change in crank speed or sputtering. Thinking I'm not getting fuel? & yes I have half a tank of gas.

              No. It shouldn't.

can't tell you about the m20 cars, but a 318i will. the main relays job is to power up the ECU, the fuel pump relay and the o2 relay, the starter and ignition switch is independent of the main relay. I have to believe the m20 cars are wired the same way.
