Sigh... Lightly R3v'd on holiday

So im currently in a rural area on holiday and i decided to go for a little drive down to the beach that is walking distance from the place we are staying. It is mainly bush around here so this being Australia there are kangaroos around....

Slight bend and down hill in the road, i spot some roos about 50 meters away, begin braking and come down to around 40km/h. My girlfriend (in the passengers seat) makes a comment on how big the are, and while im fixed at looking at the ones hopping down the road a big mother fucker jumps out from the bush closest to the car. I brake hard and lock it up slightly cause im on shit 14inch tires, the roo comes up the bonnet, kicks the shit out of the windscreen and bounds back off unharmed. However this being a 300kg piece of muscle it didnt exactly leave my car untouched.

Girlfriend is in shock (it did kick the screen hard right infront of her and crack it bad), but gonna need a new windscreen, wipers, left hand fog, bumper trim and either panel beating/replacement of the hood/fender. Fingers crossed nothing else is too badly bent, but its dark and i just want to mourn the loss of my recently replaced windscreen

Had an Alaskan Goose (30 lbs plus) fly into the windsheild of my girlfriends Jetta once on Highway 395 headed to the Reno airport. BOOM! Goose hit hard as we were at 70 mph! Sounded like a gun blast inside the cab. Pulled over with goose still attached. Jumped out and goose slunk through the opening in windshield (bleeding all over the interior)

Glass shards everywhere. Really unsettling. Guy behind us pulled over as he saw the incident. Off duty sheriff. I had him pull a garbage bag that he had in vehicle and pull the goose out. That thing was nasty and I was not going near that kamakazie goose.

Goose was caught in a down gust and could not overcome the downward force of the air.

Well their knees would be as high as the front of the car (lowered a fair bit), so it kinda ended up on its side and its massive rear legs found the windscreen pretty fast:roll:
