Dude, lowball that shit at $250 and work up from there. There's a lot of work there and you'll spend every bit of $3g if you're doing the labor yourself. -
I'd say worth it.. owner sounds hard up. you can prolly get it for $450..
most likely needs head resurfacing along with hg/tb/wp and all other random e30 replacement parts (every hose/oring/rubber part in the car) but the body looks decent and if you can love bronzit it could be a sweet and cheap project.
for probably $3k total you could have a nice running e30 vertLeave a comment:

Not even close to $1200. I would offer him $500 and work your way up to $700. Likely he'll sell it to you around that price. junk yard usually will pay $300-$400 for a full e30 around here.Leave a comment:

What is this car worth?
I know its kind of hard to throw out a number by looking at a few pictures. I have yet to see the car in person myself by I will be meeting the owner tomorrow at lunch. I called and spoke to him on the phone and he tells me he is "running out of time" and the car will be crushed next week if he doesn't sell it.
I didn't ask much on the phone as I want to see the car first but all that I know so far is that the car has a blown head gasket and the things I see in pics below. Basically I need to know what you guys would offer this guy knowing it has a blown head and the things you see in pics...broken tail light, needs top replaced...interior possibly rained on due to no rear window...etc.
