    325ix chassis/frame differences

I currently have a 89 325i with an m50 swap along with refreshed front and rear subframe/suspension that I'm looking to swap over to a new chassis because the current one is pretty rotted.

I have the opportunity to buy a 325ix shell for cheap and was wondering if there are any major differences that would prevent me from swapping all my suspension and drive train components over.

unless you're going to swap front clips - it's not going to work. the chassis is pretty different. there's nowhere to bolt the trans mount or CSB. the strut towers are completely different.

Also, why would you take away one clean iX to swap in a RWD drivetrain? I know clean bodied E30s in the NE are in short supply but iX's are even more so and you'd have a better car if you swapped your parts to a RWD car.
