This made me lol. I kinda feel the same way. I do attack the road when im in my coupe. My cabrio is totally opposite. I trully think even if I were to trade drivelines, i wouldnt drive the cabrio that much harder. As of today, the cabrio will be the last e30 on the driveway.

I was never into convertibles but the e30 looks amazing with the top down. Problem is, usually Louisville has two seasons; freaking hot or freaking cold although this year has been perfect vert weather.

So not to derail but how much extra wind noise is there with the top up compared to a coupe?

It's not bad, so long as your seals are good. The bet solution, naturally, is to get a hardtop, which eliminates the problem completely. Coincidentally, I have one for sale! ;)

To be honest, we have the same weather here. As long as you keep moving, top down in hot is fine. As long as your heater works, you'll be good to go, as the airflow inside is very minimal!

          Get it!

Yep, I haven't had a coupe, but the cabrio is the very best if you want a daily driver. Nights in the summer are just absolute perfection. My kids get to look up from the back seat and see THE WHOLE NIGHT SKY. Because memories.

My first E30 Cabrio ride was in Steven's (LuckyHenriksen) old slammed alpine Cabrio. It was a cool fall evening out in the country. The cool air passed through my fingers as the glorious sound of the Remus exhaust whistled through my ears. Pretty awesome experience. The heated seats really made all the difference. You could drive around in 30 degree weather with the top down and still be toasty warm.

I have owned a couple and I will own another, someday...

                From the point of ignition
                To the final drive
                The point of the journey
                Is not to arrive

Whenever I take my vert out, this is exactly how I feel. My vert makes me want to slow down a bit, find the backroads, see things that I missed when driving by in my other cars. Nothing else like it...

P.S. For those of you who don't have one, get a windblocker. Wow, what a difference!

                      Prime mover...RUSH.

And as mentioned, heated seats make all the difference on cool drives. I actually use it more than heat since Im really nervous about heating my dash and letting it cool down too fast (prime time to crack a dash :()

This is a bit excessive. Verts are cool and all but it sounds like they make one grow a vagina with all this wind in my fingers, stars etc etc bullshit.

quite the opposite, think they make you grow hair in your fingers after pulling them out of so many jinas as you drive.

now, vert induced hairy knukles, whom wouldn't like that.

I bought a vert in the early spring and have been loving it so far. For the whole month of July I had the top down every time that I went out for a drive and have gotten used to it. Today it was raining so the top was up and it seemed strange. Like others have said I tend to drive slower in the vert and enjoy my time with the top down but with a recent suspension overhaul I've been going a little quicker at times.
