I always notice a lot of clean E30 verts hanging around and I think to myself, I would never want one. I think that if you did want one that's fantastic and I'm not trying to dis anybody's preference. I guess I'm wondering what all the fuss is about? Is it the excitement of driving with the top down or do people prefer the looks? Sorry if I stepped on anybody's toes as that was not my goal. I'm just curious.

I've owned 9 e30s I bought a vert 2 e30s ago and have bought verts ever since. I like the whole top down thing, my favorite thing to do is take the vert out on summer nights and cruise. To each his own man, you're either a cabrio guy or you're not.Comment

I hated E30 verts until I saw one cruise by with the top down. And then I drove one. Now I want one so bad. They look ok on the Internet but in real life they're awesome, definitely breaks my neck more than coupesOriginally posted by TSI♫ Rust flecks are falling on my head...♫OEM+Comment

I had a vert and regret selling it every day of my life.1974.5 Jensen Healey : 2003 330i/5Comment

had 2 verts and a 318is. Looks wise vert with top down and rear headrests is tits. Hardtops look badass on them as well..... Fun factor: 318is everyday. This from a guy who think verts are for girls,, only exception being the e30 and an f430 must be something with the number 30.Comment

I would love a coupe/sedan in addition, but i would never sell my car. it's just a different sort of nostalgic experience, but you have to be into it. not everyone can enjoy it the same, but for that certain percentage of the population, its an experience you have to have in your life..
just how i feel about it, i guess you just have to own one for a bit before you get it..'89 Delphin 2.8 Cabrio

I always preferred the 2dr sedan over the 4dr or cabrio. I never thought the cabrio looked right (something about the roofline with the top up, and the windshield looks too tall with the top down). Now that I DD one, I love cabrios!sigpic

I'm not a gay 1980s yuppie, so I don't like verts.
Just don't get the attraction of them.Last edited by dannyyisntt; 07-29-2013, 11:44 AM.sigpicComment

Until I rode in my friends vert, I didn't like the sound of constant wind and noise. Once you drive one or sit in one, it's completely different and the experience is like none other. Now i own one and DD it with the top down most mornings. And driving at night with the top down is even better. Not to mention how good they look with the top and windows down. Although I would love a 318is, I don't think I'd give my vert up for it.Comment
