Seriously... If you're married, moving and you make such a big deal out of a hundred dollars, you've got some bigger problems.

im nobody on r3v so my opinion is not worth anything so please don get your panties in a bunch but this whole time i just keep thinking "who the hell would steal a 86 Sedan?"

i mean this, as far as i understand, was some Gone in 60 seconds shit.

if the car was at walmart and dumped on some shinny wheels in LA or Oakland And then it went missing, ok i get THAT but idk.

auto-theft, at least in Cali is a serious crime, and going to a storage unit and doing ALL that, i mean it does not take a scientist to figure its a lot of risk and for what?

No offense to anyone, im just talking about the facts as i have processed them, e30 sedans are awesome just not the same as A M3.

yea i get it, the parts are expensive and blah blah blah. but in our world we KNOW those parts dont tip the scale. (as for price) to each his own.

s50> built m20 as one example

we all know that errryone in our community knows errryyyone and that makes me think that who ever stole this car, if thats what really happened, is Retarded. think about it, those parts are ONLY worth anything to this community and even then a specific part of our community. unlike for example shiny 4x100 wheels or a sound system. That fits any honda or what ever

if it was a M3 with a ls2 on CCW classics then yea i would totally get it some crazy heist shit or even a Mtec2 vert coupe with a hard top?

it almost sounds the the unit might have been auction off or something, maybe the bill didnt get paid? IDK it just sounds so odd. im willing to bet some crazy twist is yet to come

i hope the plot thickens and ends good enough for OP and thor.

    just my 2 cents

I can't post on Facebook, not a member of that group, but for the record the $100 was my estimate needed to cover the shipping charges, having shipped 2 sets of trailing arms/brakes and the cost being slightly more myself ($110-120ish). Part of the initial deal. I told him once he got a shipping quote I would send the money to cover it. I sent the money and wheels in the first place so that he'd know I was good for the rest of the transaction. I don't think I was going to skimp out on $100 (or more) after sending that much out. And I didn't plan to.

As for him saying that I told him the quotes were too high, I never said that I wouldn't pay the prices he was quoted. I only stated that I had shipped parts cheaper. We discussed Greyhound as the most finalized option. I can't remember the cost, but I was supposed to have to pay whatever it was once the parts arrived at the Greyhound facility here. Then the shipping would (still) be all on me. That sounded perfect to me-- he was going to strap the parts on a pallet, load it on a truck, and I'd cover the rest of the deal once they were here in NC.

After the Jan. 9 2013 text stating that he would cover the cost if they weren't shipped out the following week, I just kept quiet about shipping to see if he'd do it. I had the full intention to pay him and cover the cost as that was part of the initial deal (I wouldn't go back on that), but I wanted to see if he was serious this time and would stick to his word. He hasn't so far.

Never meant to start all of the drama. I just want to close this deal. That's all.

This "small explanation" strikes me as a lame excuse. If Curt wanted to explain, didn't he have ample time to respond before being timed out?

Still hoping Curt and Thor get what's rightfully theirs.

What I don't understand is why he is keeping everything. He has this guys 1000 dollars and the items to return why not deduct shipping cost from the 1000 he has and get it over with after ~3 years? Hell I would have done it within the first year than have his stuff cluttering up a garage. or am I missing something where the 1k shouldn't be factored in?

at some point on the last 3 years Curt had to have decided he wasnt going to deal with it anymore... sucks for both parties. personally Id like to see rThor get his parts and the car to magically reappear. sadly I only see one of those two actually happening

Hot shit. Dancing bananas and all, the drama keeps building. No excuse for acting like a bitch on Facebook.

And if the wheels were in the front of the storage unit there's the very real possibly they disappeared with the car.

    Nice try.

Looks like it still took him 3 years to get that quote.

Also, REFUND is always an option if you can't agree on shipping.

You take someones hard earned money and you deserve to lose something special to you as well. IDC what anybody says, IDC the scale of the situation in comparison to the wheels, he took someones money, karma bit him in the ass. And to go on FB and post some shit like this....sorry to say but he's a douche.

So Much Rage, Scammed or not wishing someone to lose their shit indefinitely is horrible. Wish some people had common sense, hopefully Curt gets his car back and makes some sense and ships rThor his shit.
