If what that guy says is true and it's the only side to the story (there's always two sides), why didn't he file a dispute with Paypal, his bank, and/or take legal action? Why didn't he make a stink on the forum before now? Lets all continue to pile on the bandwagon before all the stories are heard. The maturity of forum members definitely shows.

I can tell you all with absolute certainty that Curt is not "BFFs" with any of the "higher-ups" on the board. I can count the number of times I've seen Curt in person in the last 5 years on under two hands. That includes the Picnic, related parties/shenanigans, or otherwise.

This alleged transaction with the wheels/parts/$$$ that Curt owes or does not owe this person is more or less news to me. I recall hearing something about it at some point, but I don't recall ever being notified about it by either party or asked to intervene. To the best of my knowledge, anyway. Lord knows I've been known to miss PMs.

I think people deserve to know the truth about the person who is calling on the community for help, to gauge how much effort its worth. Getting a car stolen sucks. Losing a grand sucks too. It really doesnt matter if you are born into money or work your ass off. A grand is a grand it just sucks that much more when you live pay cheque to pay cheque and manage to save up a grand to lose it soo fast.

In legal terms, as i understand, not proving ones innocence in a matter is as bad as pleading guilt.
Therefore, I would ask for Van to explain himself so that we can actually give a shit.

Regardless of the fact his car was recently stolen, Curt needs to finish his deal with rThor or the mods need to ban him. Failing to come through on $1000 payment for three years is just not acceptable. And I gotta say, rThor has a lot of patience, way more than I do.
