Oh that was his other email. He has another email that matches his name. I supposedly bought a set of euro bumpers from him, but now I realize he probably never even had a set

Do you have a link to his for sale thread? Or did he answer a wtb thread you put up? If the ladder is the case there have been a lot of scammers going that route lately.

Pretty sure you got scammed if he emailed you through wtb.

Yeah I sent it as a gift. I can't file a PayPal claim since I sent it as a gift right?

I looked at OPs WTB thread. 10 hrs ago he bumped his thread asking "anyone?" OP then starts this thread 12 hrs ago saying he bought bumpers from "scammer" and hasn't heard from the guy in 2 days...doesn't make much sense to me.

Why would he bump his thread asking for euro bumpers if he already bought them from someone else?

                          2 days or 2 hrs?

Not to hijack OPs thread but can someone explain to me how I should be buying stuff via the forum? I already bought from someone locally from a FS/FT thread but I was also looking into buying some stuff from some other threads not locally. Should I pay with paypal as non-gift ? what is a feedback thread? do I need one as a buyer?

Look into the sellers profile, do a search on sellers handle, do a Google search on the seller in case he uses the same name on another forum.

Never EVER send money as gift on Paypal...EVER. If the seller requests money be sent as gift it should be first red flag. Even if seller has pictures of it..ask for some detailed picture of a certain section of whatever item you're looking to buy, if he has item and is serious about selling he will take picture for you, if he doesn't have item you won't get picture.
