If this was the norm, I would have invented the third pedal for the convenience of texting with my right hand, smoke on my left hand, steering with my right leg, and shifting at the same time. Or for the better having both of my hands on the steering wheel while in gears and let my foot do the clutching.

They say it is drive by wire technology and uses a microcomputer... but I am still baffled. It can't be a solenoid!
