    Fun facts about e30s

No, I don't have any. My speech final requires a 3 minute speech to give to the teacher. So far my speech about e30s is pretty bare, just facts about engines and models and such.

I'd like some more facts and google is useless. Anything, racing victories, notables, whatever. Let's see what you got. Rumors or hearsay is completely acceptable also as my teacher couldn't tell a BMW from a rebadged geo.

Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

i'd get a new topic so as to be taken seriously, just me though.

I concur. A speech on a car model? Never heard of that.
Are you going the sales pitch approach?

Just do it on the e30 M3 specifically, and it's homologation, what that is, why it was done, etc. You could go into the rarity of them/low production numbers, special models/evo II, evo III, cabriolet, etc. Tell the differences between them and the regular e30s, and go into performance specs, etc. Include some race histories, notable wins, drivers and w/e else you can think of.

I think you'd have a very interesting speech, at least for guys.

Find out how many ping pong balls fit inside an E30.

It's actually easy - using cabin dimensions, calculate the cabin's volume. Determine the radius of a ping pong ball and calculate the ball's volume. Divide that into the the cabin's volume.

            Voila - one fun fact!

All you need is a couple more... :D

Oh, and THEN, you can calculate the approx. volume of an average human body (or an average midget) --- then substitute "Human Body" (or "Midget") for "Circus Clown", and then figure out how many Circus Clowns you could fit in an E30, if you jammed 'em in real tight. Guaranteed a laugh out of your audience... :D

                Stuff I know about e30s-
1-It is BMW's best selling US model, ever. As far as I know at least.
2-It represented a major change for BMW, changing more to luxury sport than small sport sedans.
3-The m10 is actually a Hemi, and developed by Alex Von Faulkensen
4-1987 was the best selling year for the e30.
Thats all I can think of for now.

My "audience" is a credit-recovery teacher who bores me to tears. Speech is a required class to graduate. Due to a loophole I got to get into a "work at your own pace" class meant for students who have failed a course before and need to retake it in order to get credit. I've finished an entire semester course in 3 weeks, including every test and final.

So... it's not like the quality of my speech is of any importance, as long as I cover everything in the checklist I will get an A. I believe a friend of mine did his presentation on the different types of fishing lures and got a 95. I'm looking for filler, not quality.
