If I saw something like this within 300 miles of me, I would be there with cash in hand tomorrow.

you so should buy that. dude $500 is nothing for what will become one of the best investments of your life. 89 is arguably one of the most desirable years. Plastic bumpers, pop out front windsheild, no air bags and its a coupe. like the rest of the guys said ill take it if you dont thats for sure. good luck and i hope you take car of this beauty.Comment

Buy it if you are looking for a car that needs a bunch of work done to it, it's obviously not a runner so factor another 500-1000 into it easy (not counting interior/body/paint), just mechanicals etc.
Plus find out about reg. fee.Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

If you don't have the resources then you let somebody who does; fuck you people are insanely cheap. E30's really are worth the work to keep on the road (especially a scarce, rust free late model!) not just for daily transportation but also for its fun performance and supportive community. Here's a great example of a realized potential:Agent, lets not quibble over syntax. It's obviously worth saving if you have the money to do so. But if he was super strapped for cash, parting it would enable him to get a better car. I'm sure most of us have seen cars parted in arguably "more saveable" condition. It's a simple matter of using your resources in the most effective manner, sometimes this happens to trump BMW fanaticism.

Buy it. It's a great little project and with a few weekends of wrenching and tinkering you could prob get her goin!Comment

If he's super strapped for cash, this is not his car.

Another update, car is registered non-op, should be no or very little fees. I'm planning on going and getting it soon, don't have a ton of time as of recent. Where is the best place for BMW parts, or at least the most reliable brands?
This is my first BMW ahaha.Comment

Have you done any research at all? Here is a start - local bmw shops, blunt here on the forum, autohausaz.com, getbmwparts.com, pelicanparts.com, bmaparts.com...
Btw, from the first picture it looks like seats are stock OEM seats, not Recaro.Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205
