This seems to be the most split R3V thread ever? Poll maybe? I'm leaning toward yes.

Everyone saying no is just going "OMGWTF WHY WOULD YOU WANT A CHEVY?!?!" and ignoring the fact that it's a fairly new, probably reliable and fuel efficient car for pocket change.

Except that it's not fairly new, not anywhere near reliable, and not fuel efficient...

          I lol'd

I personally would pass not because i'm an impractical person or because i hate chevys, But because the aveo is an ugly piece of shit. I just found a volvo s80 twin turbo with 263k miles,
          Claims made by the owner
"always garage kept, zero rust, runs perfect, guaranteed to pass inspection"

I can get it for what you would pay in total for your aveo brakes included. under 1k due to mileage

Just sayin dude, you might feel obligated to buy the car cause its from your bro But there are nicer (looking) ones out there

Annnd let's not forget the fact that it's not a Chevy, but a Daewoo. So there you have it, it's not even good enough to be shit.

No obligation. He just landed an extremely well paying job, and does not care. If I don't take it one of the mechanics is.

Aveos are shit, at that miles it's gonna need another timing belt ASAP cause them little rubber bands pop after 40-50k miles. If you wanna buy it just to flip it I say go for it but I wouldn't keep it or put any money into it.

For $500 9 years old is fairly new. And 26 combined mpg ain't too shabby, it's nothing to write home about but it's better than an e30 is gonna get.

Reliability, I'll be honest I can't really comment on that but shit, if it's starts having too many problems you could still flip it for more than you've put into it. So long as he's not trying religiously maintain the thing.

It's nice to have a beater that you really just don't give a shit about, speed bumps, curbs, small parking spots, doesn't matter.

I honestly do not think this car is going to be worth any profit.

He has to drive a ways to get it, then make it driveable, which takes time. Time = money, plus the shitty ass parts for that shitty ass Daewoo cost something as well.

A better value proposition would be to get a gig at Burger King for the weekend and "profit" a couple hundo. This will take less time and have a larger financial reward.
