crap ! bummer battery dead in my 325es

Well was going to take my garage queen for spin.
Welcome to a dead battery in the car. Didn't have any
symptoms. So had to have left a interior light or parking lights.
Hopefully can charged and be good to go. If not new battery.
    it's just a ETA !

Last time for me it was my interior lights. The two in the back for passengers were on cause someone had bumped or messed with the switched. Came out to a dead battery

A battery will go dead just sitting if left for long enough, even without any kind of drain on it. Only takes a few months and it will be dead.

It's always a good idea to unhook the battery if you plan on storing the car for long periods of time. A trickle charger or maintainer is a good idea as well.

I had the same thing happen, found some hidden aftermarket stuff I removed. I also found that I was only charging at 11v due to bad cabling in the engine bay.

The records I received for my ES are really great (BMW dealer tech owned)
The battery was an Interstate MTP-91vented style.
Replacement date was 2002. I guess we got our moneys worth on it.
Looks like the old battery just may take a charge. Lol

If the battery is 11 years old just replace it
