I too am VERY excited for the GTD to finally make it to the States! Good on VW for making the decision to import it. There will be a waiting list for them guaranteed.

I love the look of the B5 chassis. I was actually looking around for one until I read about the horror stories of the 2.7T's.

Sometimes, without even knowing it, there are interesting little links between cars and their owners. Take this 1984 Audi 80 Quattro we came across at Gatebil last month for example. Known as the ‘Silver Arrow’, it’s something of a legend in the Norwegian Audi community. One of the very first Ur Quattro sedans, it was originally …

This car is insane! I love the wheels:D. I own a 04 1.8t avant, crap car. I've owned a 83 Gti, 84 Gti, 2 mk 2 sciroccos, one 16v, 2 mk1 sciroccos one was a s, awesome car. I also had a 77 rabbit all 16v dive train, shrick cams, tt race header etc. stripped race car. 88 fox wagon, loved that one. The old VWs are awesome, except for front wheel drive. The new ones are just to unreliable for the money.

Pretty peppy too and that AWD is pretty good on the Audi. Parts are fairly inexpensive(CL) like maintaining a Honda Civic.
Wat .The B5 platform is the biggest money pit in existence. Nothing like a Honda.

My buddy switched from an e46 325i to the new gti's. He always says that he misses his e46 and will be switching back to bmw again.

I have an '08 B7 A4 2.0t that I bought new and have about 90k on it now. I use it as my DD and honestly I will never buy another VAG car again.

Yes- it looks nice, its comfortable, not too fast but pretty quick (~270hp, APR ECU Flash, Test pipe) but its expensive to maintain, everything squeaks over time and my 2.0 oil consumption problems are getting nerve wracking.

It burns though a full qt of oil every 1,200-1,500mi, literally every interval it needs a full quart and I always keep a few in my trunk. Since its a special 5w-30 synthetic; they go for around $11. It drives me insane. My warranty is up in December and I'm already looking into F30's.
