Needs drive shaft adapters, and a shifter

Leaks oil, and it's ~ 5 hours away from me.
I can get access to a trailer, but would it be worth it?

Good lord yes, its worth like ten times that in parts alone. Other than that tranny issue it probably doesn't need any more than any other neglected 20 year old car. That being said, if you get it and decide to part it out I would definitely be interested in some parts.

Yes, e30s that are rusted out are worth 10-30k now. Put an m50 in it and lower it on JOM and call it a solid 50k car. 1-3k extra if it has M badges. 100k if it has BBS RS and more stretch than a hooker.
