I would never do that. However, my father (who did that to my first E30 [which was a total rustbucket, no less] as I was away at college) would.

THANK YOU. But no one realizes this. Everyone wants to pay bottom-dollar for everything these days, do they not?!

I would rather put a role cage into my 100% rust free e30 rather then have to find every rust spot on that car. People don't like rusty cars, simple as that.

I would take it if it was local to me. It's exactly what I am looking for......only a long way from here.

It isn't rusty. The subframe just has surface rust on it.

That's pretty rough man. It physically pains me to see all of these restorable shells scrapped. GLWS. Wish I were in the market.

I was gonna say, if I had money to throw around and could skip the cage building process, I'd totally buy this and only have to worry about interior and powertrain. Done deal.

I'm with you my friend, every time I stumble upon in it in the for sale forum my mind is blown it's not sold yet. If this was a few years ago I'd already have rented a uhaul trailer and brought it home with me. But I'm trying to get rid of stuff, not accumulate more projects at the moment.

Have you considered tossing it in on Ebay with a $1500 starting or something? No harm really...

I'm thinking of doing a $1900 or best offer ad on eBay actually.

All the classes I've built customers cars for have a stipulation that the cage not pass through the front firewall. Not knocking it, just saying that this particular cage may not be as accepted in racing organizations as some may believe. I would like to think that anyone buying a chassis for racing is going to be familiar enough with the organization's rules to know whether it's legal or not.

Oh I know, but buying this and modifying it would be worlds cheaper than building one from square one. 'Tis what I've been told, anyway.

There is always a disconnect in pricing when someone is selling their "sweat equity." Most people aren't willing to pay for it. Hence the term "My loss, your gain."

It's such a nice roller/starting point. Just keep at it I'm sure it will sell eventually

Like some others have stated the main market for this car would be pro 3 and spec e30 people but I am not so sure that cage would be legal in either class.
