crazy shipping costs!!!

Well I thought I finally found a rim to replace my bent 16x7.5 TSW hock. I emailed the seller and asked if he would end the auction early, for a certain price. Then I notaciced on the auction for the price of shipping-$95 for one rim and one tire. I asked about it and he said that was for his time, labeling, packaging, and shipping. I feel bad for the sucker who is going to buy the rim and get stuck with a $100 shipping bill.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43956
Oh well just ranting, it's not to often you find individual hocks for sale and this guy wants more then each rim is worth just to ship them.
Ask him to ship via FedEx Ground. It'll be much less.

It won't actually cost that much to ship, the seller is just making a ton off the shipping. It'll be like $20 to ship.

I told him fedex was way cheaper, he still wouldn't lower the price. He said if i wanted the tim to figure how much i wanted to pay and deduct $95 from it and bid that amount. so that means I should bid -$5 as $90 shipped is what I'd consider a reasonable price for one of these rims.
I've shipped multiple rims to california and a whole set of basket weaves all for under $40 with fedex.

Yeah, but he can do that. Where else are you gonna get extra Hocks?

ya, ya. that the thing that sucks about hocks. they look so nice, are so heavy, and so hard to find ;) I can get mine fixed for $90 so I don't want to spend over that on a new one.

That's what my shady Jewish friend done. Nothing against Jews in whole, just my friend sometimes. He marks up shipping (and sometime gets it for free) just to make more profit.

Packaging isn't hard to do, he's a bastard to charge for his time......what? now charge for the extra effort of listing on ebay, or per email you have to respond to? Ridicilous.

Dude use a fedex or ups account. If you have a creditcard or check card go open an account. Tell them his address and the pick it up bill you and send it to your address. All he has to do is open the door and give it to them or leave it on the step. Actual cost will be about 40 depending on how far.
