Real monopoly game card. It's so far out there that they crack up every time.

I didn't watch the video. But more of a reply to the thread title itself.

My favorite way to do it is using a Monopoly get out of jail free card. But you only get that option once per cop, so you have to have your own wits as backup just in case.

But, I really don't speed all that often anyways. No real use in tempting fate with that one.
i do almost the opposite, you NEVER admit to a cop what you were doing wrong, let him tell you what you did and you can go back and fourth with him trying to explain what you were doing was unintentional or what ever it is your going to tell him, admititing what you did is possibly the worst thing you can do especially with there new recorders they have on them (CA), if you went to court saying you didn't do what he pulled you over for they have it on tape of you admitting too it. i also go to court to request fine reductions, cops might be "haters" but judges can be pretty cool if you see the right one.

I was getting on a free-way off-ramp with a long sweeping cork-skrew type up to a bidge that goes over
the freeway.... with two biker cops behind me, because there's a police station on the corner.

Usually I take it at 50mph no problem with a damn prius.
The posted sign was 20mph so I went 20mph all the way up it. LOOL

The cops where right on my ass and it took forever to get up on to the street.
Just funny occurrence I'd like to share. 30mph would of been pretty fair limit but not 20mph.

Even the long stretch that leads up to it, think nascar pit road.
Would the cop have given me a speeding ticket or not if I went a more appropriator speed? Who knows.

Then I go the speed limit and they're riding my ass and swerving back and forth wishing they could go around me.

and out in the county, it's always posted 35. often 40-50 is OK if there's just fields and cows, but I don't like flying by people's homes with the loud pedal to the max. Especially since there aren't exactly a lot of cars like mine in the area (zero), people will recognize you after a while, I don't want to be "that dumb kid in the silver BMW". I know they'd remember me because I remember the idiots that drove by my old house at 65mph every day.

the freeway here is posted 70. that's fast enough for me - maybe I'll hit 75 or 80 passing somebody. there's always somebody willing to fly by at 90mph in a Prius though. I'm with Jason and M-technik-3 on that one - I prefer not stressing about it.

basically this issue seems important to you when you're young, but when you get older you stop caring. I probably deserve 5x as many tickets as I've actually gotten when I was young.. I'd rather spend that money on beer or E30 parts. :p

I don't speed often, but there are certain places & scenarios that I'm comfortable speeding.

More often than not, I'll end up with a pack of other drivers that speed, so I blend in.

Absolutely, never admit ANYTHING. You're just out to make them laugh and a "Get out of jail" card isn't admitting a thing.

I think you gotta take into account the variety of vehicles traveling the roads as well. A beat to shit box truck loaded with product aint gonna take a corner like your car does. Speed limits are intended for all vehicles and scanarios. So of course they are going to seem low. You cant have 10 different signs for each class of vehicle and environmental condition.

That is why it is called a speed "limit". It is the maximum recommended speed. Not the speed that all vehicles should travel at. Of course a heavily laden truck is not worthy of driving at the "limit", it never should be and that is the point.

I keep it at or below the limit in residential streets and school zones.
This. Considering all of the performance and safety advances in vehicles since the majority of speed limit standards were put in place, it's past time for those standards to be revised.
