Exactly, BMW is competing with itself. Why does the company need 5 sedans 4 coupes, a ton of SUV/wagon/gt things etc.

This was something i thought. I'm sure majority of the world does not know mini is owned by bmw. Bmw should make a commercial where, they show that they own mini and markets it as their "FWD BMW" if you are to call it that.

Don't change who you are to be like the rest of other fools. That's like silly low self-esteem people trying to fit in and want a piece of the action.

All pride and joy is gone. :hitler:

BMW is more profitable then ever, while I don't like there are plenty that do so I could care less.

The thing is, it's not like they are changing RWD cars to FWD and eliminating the RWD models. They are merely diversifying to reach a bigger audience. I don't see what is wrong with that.

Will I buy one of their FWD cars? No. But that doesn't mean they shouldn't make them.

'Dilution of the brand' is also called 'diversification'...

They'll do better in BTCC and WTCC, where FWD tends to rule.

I don't think making the 1-series is that bad. It's like the "hot-hatch" of BMW, and RWD can be quite sketchy in inclimate weather. Europeans will probably be greatful.

So will all 1-series' from this point on become fwd? At the same time, is the 2-series going to be fwd like its sedan counterpart? If not, IDGAF if they make a fwd car. Probably eco friendly and still fun to drive compared to other fwd cars on the market. I mean BMW's are the ultimate driving machine, eh?;D
