You know, although they are Nascar themes, that's still pretty god damn cool.

I wish our state did something like that. We get either a tree, a covered wagon, an indian, Crater Lake, or a Salmon. The salmon one is kinda cool, because it looks sort of european, but it's still not that great.

Not too drift OT too much:
Oregon has plenty of plates including educational and special interest. My favorite has always been one from the 60's, the Pacific Wonderland plate:

And the interesting story of how they found this plate in saddam's house:http://www.slate.com/id/2092904/

Actually, Toyota is now in NASCAR. at this rate soon BMW would be in there.

It is funny that they have 4 eyes on there.

Yup, the Camry. I bet "American Car Only" hicks are throwing the mother of all shit-fits at this point. My father in law is a huge Nascar fan, and he thinks it great that they're expanding to allow foreign makes into the ranks.

I don't watch much Nascar, but I do like trucks.

I predict the titan entrance will give the tundra stiff competition, and considering how well the toyota team is doing, nissan should be a force to reckon with.

I think if Honda entered nascar they'd win, that would really throw the rednecks into a rage :P

We are now phasing out the sorry ass ones with the WalMart happy face on them . . .

They have about 50-60 different plates you can get now. I just never felt like paying the $30 extra for one.

It's clip art in Mircosoft Word. The NC DMV is lazy. ;)

I get the wildlife GA ones, they're sweet. Worth the extra 15 for a good cause I'd say.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

Not that it matters. They all run one of 2 available engines, all tubular chassis built by a coachwork to the same specs, and all the same fiberglass mockups shaped to fit a template. Basically the difference between one nascar and another is what headlights the stickers on the front look like. Which is precisely why I dont give a shit. At least with LeMans, ETCC, and F1 they build their own drivetrains and use their own technology.

I'm pretty sure that Toyota builds there own motor, at least for the Nascar trucks. IIRC it puts out the required 650 hp but is a 4.9 liter not a 6.5 liter.
Toyota has been trying to get into nascar for quite a while now, and nascar is just now starting to let them compete. at first they would only let them race in Japan, then only trucks, and now they will let them race cars aperently.
poeple are all pissed because they are not an "american" car company, so they shouldn't be alowed to race. We get alot of NASCAR fans down here in kansas and I've overheard alot of people bitching about it in bars.

the best shit is that the next car body ford is using is the Ford fusion, which is based on a Mazda platform.
