Don't leave it on too long, especially if your car sits in the sun.

Plastidip is what all the hipsters use for contraception.

SRSLY, maybe use it on some trim or something, but this whole dip your car shit is stupid.

Its not really as great as they make it out to be. It doesnt always just peel right off. It also doesnt hold up all that great over time. If you do most of the prep work you can paint a car correctly and have a better looking result.
Haven't you ever seen Russian Nesting Dolls? They work like that.

I tried doing some wheels with it. Looked terrible. I'm better with paint 10x.

I used it to paint the wheels on the Si. Looked good for about 2 months and then just decent for about 3 more months. Then shitty for another 2 months until I took it off.

For wheels I say ok. For a whole car? please no.

It's cool for badges/small trim stuff. I did my mirrors since they were fading big time and couldn't bring them back, then the chrome trim around the windows. I might just take it all off and paint it eventually though.

Theres a thing called commitment. Platidip is like the mid level escort you bring to try to impress people at your high school reunion. Fools no one, you look like an ass, and you still go home with nothing.

If anything needs to be converted back just use 3m vinyl wrap.

I tell the kids around here who want yellow headlights to just "dip" 'em.

Okay guys just to clarify. I am not planning on PlastiDipping my car whatsoever. I discovered it existed and thought the idea was pretty cool and seems like its creating some kind of fad among other car Enthusiast and just wanted to know what the rest of you guys thought of it. So thoughts so far is that majority of e30ers would just rather do an actual paint job, specially for long term use. And its some what misleading and a waist.
